On October 16, 2025, architect Guillermo Vázquez Consuegra delivered the Lectio Magistralis, which opened the 2025–2026 academic year at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture (ICEA) of the University of Padua.
The lecture, held in the ICEA’s Aula Magna, brought together professors, students, and professionals from the Italian academic and architectural fields. During his presentation, Vázquez Consuegra shared his vision of architecture as a discipline committed to the city, memory, and landscape, showcasing some of his most recent projects and reflecting on the architect’s role in the transformation of contemporary space.
The Lectio Magistralis is part of the cycle of academic activities that the University of Padua dedicates each year to international figures in architecture and urban planning, and constitutes a recognition of the Sevillian architect’s career and influence on the current European scene.
