The multi-brand store MKR, dedicated to the sale of haute couture clothing, is located in part of the ground floors of a bourgeois housing building constructed by architect José Gómez Millán in 1912 on Calle de la Campana at the corner of Plaza del Duque, probably the most strategic corner from a commercial point of view in the historic center of Seville.

The premises consist of three levels; a small basement and the ground and upper floors, which are not superimposed, so they only coincide at the staircase that connects them at one end of the floor.

The main objective of the project is to find a mechanism capable of connecting the three levels, ensuring functional, physical, and spatial continuity. A single element designed to unify the three floors, based on the unmovable presence of the two existing staircases, which, spaced apart, are attached to the building’s long party wall.
